Yerevan, Tbilisi discuss defence coooperation

Armenian and Georgian defence ministers Suren Papikyan and Irakli Chikovani have discussed issues of defence cooperation by phone.

The parties also touched upon the upcoming actions and exchanged views on security issues, Sputnik Armenia reports, citing the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry.

The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the development of relations.

To recall, in November 2023, a delegation headed by then-Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze paid an official visit to Armenia. In Yerevan, the sides signed a plan of cooperation in the defence sphere. In 2022, Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan visited Georgia.
