Azerbaijan's Energy Minister to attend gas exporting countries forum

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov is on a visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az that Shahbazov will attend the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algiers.

The summit will discuss policy, recent developments and trends in the gas sector.

Bilateral meetings are scheduled as part of the visit.

Azerbaijan is represented at the Forum as an observer member.

The GECF Summit is the eminent meeting of Heads of State and Government from the Member Countries of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum. It serves as a platform for the esteemed leaders to engage in constructive dialogue and share their insights on recent developments and future perspectives regarding energy in general and natural gas in particular.

Scheduled for March 2, 2024, in Algiers, the Summit is anticipated to culminate in the issuance of the Algiers Declaration.
