Top 10 countries in Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover

From January to June 2024, Azerbaijan conducted its primary trade operations with Italy, totalling $4.915 billion, representing 22.58 per cent of the overall trade turnover.

However, trade volume with Italy during this period decreased 1.7 times compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports, citing the country’s State Customs Committee (SCC).

Türkiye ranks second with a trade turnover of $3.105 billion (14.26 per cent), which is 20.7 per cent less than last year.

Russia holds third place with a trade volume of $2.168 billion (9.96 per cent), showing a 0.2 per cent increase.

The other countries in the top ten are as follows:

- China: $1.637 billion (up 23.9 per cent)

- Israel: $1.009 billion (up 56.2 per cent)

- Germany: $702.863 million (down 17.8 per cent)

- India: $680.308 million (down 5.1 per cent)

- Australia: $597.948 million (70 times increase)

- Czech Republic: $517.183 million (up 10.2 per cent)

- The US: $436.485 million (up 73 per cent)

Overall, according to SCC data, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January to June this year amounted to $21.768 billion, a 16.8 per cent decrease compared to last year.
