Ambassador: Romania ready to share experience in renewables with Azerbaijan
"Romania is ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan in the field of renewable energy sources (RES). In this regard, there are already working groups, we regularly contact and find ways to develop bilateral cooperation in this area," Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasile Soare told Report.
"Romania has a strategy for the development of relations with Azerbaijan in all directions. Of course, the most important of them is the energy sector, but there are also many opportunities in other areas, especially in the development of economic cooperation. The holding of the Azerbaijan-Romania business forum in Romania should be particularly noted," he said.
The ambassador also stressed the importance of cultural cooperation, which unites the two peoples. According to him, three collections of Romanian literature have been translated for the Azerbaijani public during the year.
It should be noted that the "Agreement on strategic partnership in the field of development and transmission of green energy between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary" was signed in Bucharest on December 17, 2022.
The agreement envisages the strengthening of national and regional energy security and relations in the Black Sea basin, the diversification of supply sources, the use of renewable energy production potential in the Caspian region, and meets the interests of the four states.
