Armenia announces common approaches with Russia to unblock communications
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced common approaches with Russian President Vladimir Putin to unblock communications around Karabakh.
Pashinyan made the relevant statement while receiving Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, according to Armenian media.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrey Rudenko.
The prime minister noted he hails the work of the trilateral commission on unblocking the railway and transport links between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to him, specific decisions will help change the situation in the region not only in the economic context but also in the political and psychological, as well as in terms of security.
“We continue to work hard. During my official visit to Moscow, this issue was one of the most discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I am glad that we have come to common approaches here,” Pashinyan said.
It is necessary to resolve all legal and procedural issues that will not only help to quickly reach decisions but also make these decisions stronger, the prime minister added.
