Armenia appoints new High-Tech minister

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed an Order to appoint Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, former Minister of Diaspora and executive director of "My Step" Foundation, as Minister of High-Tech Industry of the country.

He replaced Robert Khachatryan, who was dismissed from his post on December 29, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

Recently Khachatryan has been in the focus of attention of scandalous stories more than once. In particular, it recently became known that the ministry had provided large grants to a number of companies that had ceased their activities.
