Armenia gets invitation to “3+3” meeting in Iran
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has said that Armenia received an invitation from the Iranian side to participate in the “3+3” negotiations.
The meeting is planned to be held in Tehran. The details of the meeting are currently being worked out with Iranian colleagues. There is no final decision yet, Kostanyan told journalists, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
Kostanyan clarified that the invitation was addressed to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan is ready for negotiations in the mentioned format. This regional format of cooperation was proposed after the 44-day Second Karabakh War. Since then, only one meeting was held in late 2021, without Georgia.
