Armenia plans to become wealthy, PM Pashinyan says
Armenia is not concerned about high commodity prices in the event of a deterioration in relations with Russia, as the country plans to become wealthy, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated.
Speaking at an election rally in the town of Garni, he said it is illogical to threaten Armenia, for example, with high prices, “because there is an answer to threats of high prices: we will have much more money, enough so that it will not seem expensive to us,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
According to him, today, Armenia is becoming a “crossroads of peace” — which means that Armenia will become a country not of thousands and millions, but of billions and trillions.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Russia had notified Armenia of the possibility of terminating agreements on gas, petroleum products, and diamonds if Yerevan joins the European Union.
