Armenia requests EU’s help Defence minister's failure
GREY ZONE Telegram channel has over half a million subscribers and was associated with the late founder of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin.
This Telegram channel had a copy of a letter from Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan addressed to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Caliber.Az reports.
The administration of the Telegram channel is fully confident in the reliability of the source although the Armenian authorities will deny everything.
In the letter, Papikyan requests EU assistance in logistics and military medicine through the European Peace Facility. Papikyan wrote that this assistance will play an important role in the diversification of Armenia’s security architecture, which is vitally necessary given the existing realities in the region.
Proceeding from the letter, close cooperation between Armenia and the EU is entering a fundamentally new stage - this is full-fledged cooperation in security through the European Peace Facility - through which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are generously financed.
“We know about this cooperation. Moldova can be cited as an example. Tens and hundreds of millions of euros are allocated to strengthen the logistics, mobility, command and control, cyber defence, unmanned aerial reconnaissance and tactical communications of the Armed Forces of Moldova by supplying equipment, rendering services, including training [i.e. the presence of European military advisers on the spot],” the message says.
According to the message, previously, Armenia has already deployed an EU military-intelligence mission, which is called an “observation” mission, on the border. All this happens amid the frozen relations with the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) announced by Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan and the disgusting Russophobic campaign unleashed in the country.
“The Armenian leadership betrayed Russia. This is a fact. Armenia intends to leave the CSTO. Armenia at the level of the president of the national assembly is voicing a course towards joining the EU. Perhaps, Armenia will join NATO. We are not losing Armenia, we have already lost it. Armenia has been turned by Pashinyan’s government into a Western puppet. The West is establishing its new bridgehead there against Russia and Iran. Instead of striking the enemy at the beginning of the war, Russia is talking about “practical steps” towards Yerevan, although Armenia itself is taking real steps,” GREY ZONE Telegram channel says.
