Armenian analyst: France provokes new war in South Caucasus

22 January 2024 15:47

Hayk Ayvazyan, head of the Luys Armenian political think tank, has said France provokes a new war in the South Caucasus.

"I don't know of any country in the world where the North Atlantic Alliance has entered and tried to show support in the name of peace. However, I know that, for example, NATO member countries, particularly France, are being chased out of Africa," Ayvazyan said in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.

"Because for decades on the African continent, where there is everything, all natural resources, people live poor, like slaves. Because of what? Because they are being robbed. Let me give you an example: if a kilogram of uranium costs two hundred dollars, the French buy it in Africa for half a cent. Just imagine the level of robbery. That is why those peoples, who begged the West for decades, were plundered, destroyed, exploited, and now they have raised nationalistic struggle.

As for Armenia and the Armenian authorities, Armenia is an externally ruled state. Armenia is under foreign rule in all spheres, the rule of the West. That's why the authorities can't make decisions on their own, they are told what to do. And I think that the only state in our region that can ensure a stable peace is Russia. And the West is doing everything to prevent Russia's participation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. If there is no such role, the existing conflict will intensify and will lead to a new war. That is, the West provokes a new war and France has taken this role," the analyst said.
