Armenian government has no idea what economic diplomacy means – economist
Armenian economist Tatul Manaserian has said that the Armenian government has no idea what economic diplomacy means.
"If 15 Armenian prime ministers could not find alternative ways to Upper Lars, I think this is not the easiest problem, and I don't think it is possible to address the complicated situation created in Lars through one Facebook post," Manaserian said in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
“And if anyone doesn't like the traditional market, there must be an alternative. And the alternative is the result of hard work. I think businessmen themselves are thinking of an alternative, but the fact is that the Collective West dreams of the Russian market, and even today Western countries are entering the Russian market indirectly. The Russian market is the dream of any businessman. We can count only three or four such markets across the globe with great purchasing power.
Unfortunately, however, the Republic of Armenia is barefoot and the government has no idea what economic diplomacy is. And that is why Arayik Harutyunyan's notes on Lars are not an exception or a unique case,” the economist emphasized.
