Armenian minister: Train carrying Azerbaijani fuel crosses Armenia-Georgia border
19 December 2025 14:17
A train transporting petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia is currently crossing the Armenia–Georgia border, Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced.
He wrote on Facebook that 22 tank wagons carrying A95 gasoline of Azerbaijani origin, with a total volume of about 1,300 tonnes, are passing through the Ayrum border station via the Azerbaijan–Georgia–Armenia railway route, Caliber.Az reports.
"It is possible that this is not only the first trade deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan after the establishment of peace between the two countries, but the first such transaction since Armenia gained independence overall,” Papoyan said.
