Armenian National Security Service summons revanchist archbishop

Head of the chancellery of Chancellor of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Archbishop Arshak Khachatrian, has been summoned to the Armenian National Security Service.

According to 168.am news website, the authorities began persecuting revanchist movement participants led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.

“According to our sources, the reason for the persecution by the authorities is the activity of Archbishop Arshak Khachatrian, his tough position, critical speeches, interviews, and especially his speech on April 23 during the torchlight procession,” the message says.

Khachatrian previously criticized the current authorities, especially during his speech at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex on April 24.
