AZAL: Technical malfunction signal reported after Baku-Aktau flight landing Aircraft cleared for further flight
A Gulfstream aircraft operating the Baku-Aktau flight received a signal indicating a technical malfunction following its successful landing.
The alert was detected during routine ground control procedures, according to a statement from the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, Caliber.Az reports.
Upon further inspection and system updates by the aircraft’s pilots, it was determined that no technical faults were present. The aircraft was subsequently cleared and found to be ready for flight.
Notably there were no passengers on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
The Baku-Aktau flight landed safely, but a technical issue with the aircraft’s nose strut was detected following the landing, according to reports from local authorities.
The incident, which occurred at 09:04 local time (08:04 Baku time), prompted ground services at the airport to tow the aircraft from the runway. The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan confirmed that the airport remained fully operational and the incident did not cause any disruption to normal airport activities.
The nose strut, a crucial component of the aircraft’s landing gear located at the front of the fuselage, provides stability during taxiing, takeoff, and landing. The issue with the strut was identified during post-landing checks.
