Azerbaijan advances infrastructure plans for Alat Free Economic Zone

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has taken part in the 3rd meeting of the Working Group on the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), according to a post he shared on his official X account.

“Together with our colleagues, we attended the 3rd session of the Working Group on the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ),” he wrote.

Jabbarov said the meeting focused on ongoing work in the AFEZ, including the construction of an international airport, the progress of infrastructure development, the efficient organisation of operations, and efforts to attract investment.
