Azerbaijan advances seawater desalination project with ACWA Power PHOTO

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Marco Arcelli, CEO of ACWA Power, to review the country’s ongoing seawater desalination project, highlighting the nation’s efforts to address water scarcity and promote sustainable water management.

The discussions also explored potential initiatives in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on efficient water use and innovative technologies, Caliber.Az reports via Jabbarov's post on X.

Minister Jabbarov emphasised the broader significance of such projects, noting that they not only strengthen public–private partnerships but also facilitate the transfer of advanced technologies, expertise, and innovations to Azerbaijan.
