Azerbaijan, AIIB  align on key priorities for new investment program

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Vice President Sherard Cowper-Coles to review priorities of the country’s investment program.

“During the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, we met with Sherard Cowper-Coles, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The discussion focused on strengthening the Azerbaijan–AIIB strategic partnership and the priorities of the investment program for our country,” Jabbarov wrote on X.

The sides also explored opportunities for joint infrastructure projects aimed at further reinforcing Azerbaijan’s role as a regional transit hub.
