Azerbaijan, AIIB discuss main spheres of cooperation PHOTO

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

Jabbarov made the remarks at a meeting with AIIB Vice President for Investment Operations Konstantin Limitovskiy on February 2, Report informs.

The minister noted that Azerbaijan considers the AIIB's activity important to ensure a "green" and sustainable future, as well as support member states in building a strong economy.

While informing about the work conducted in the country in the field of sustainable development, the minister noted that within the "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development", special attention is paid to sustainable economic growth, as well as the application of "green" and "smart" concepts in reintegration work which is carried out in the liberated territories.

Limitovskiy, for his part, noted the AIIB's fruitful cooperation with Azerbaijan and shared his opinion on the possibilities for developing partnerships.
