Azerbaijan Airlines operates first flight to Atyrau, Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), part of AZCON Holding, operated its first flight on the Baku–Atyrau route on August 17, 2026, the press service of the company has said.

It noted that flights between Baku and Atyrau will operate four times a week — on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, Caliber.Az reports.

The new route will provide direct air connectivity with one of western Kazakhstan’s largest economic centres.

The airline made it clear that the launch of the route is aimed at facilitating business and tourism travel, as well as strengthening economic and humanitarian ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
