Azerbaijan, Albania sign key deal to expand year-round tourism
The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau and the Albanian National Tourism Agency have formalised their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing collaboration in the tourism sector.
The agreement was signed by Florian Sengstschmid, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, and Zana Chela, Director General of the Albanian National Tourism Agency, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Tourism Agency.
Key focuses of the memorandum include promoting environmentally sustainable tourism initiatives aligned with climate action principles agreed upon at COP29, expanding year-round tourism opportunities in both coastal and mountainous regions, and engaging in joint activities such as sharing information and expertise, marketing cooperation, professional development, and participating in tourism fairs.
