Azerbaijan appoints new education advisor to embassy in Georgia PHOTO
Azerbaijan has appointed Fuad Chiragov as education advisor at its embassy in Georgia.
Before taking up his new post, Chiragov served as deputy director of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He has also held positions at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan, the Center for International Relations Analysis, and the South Caucasus Research Centre. In addition to his policy and research work, he has taught at higher education institutions, Caliber.Az reports.

Chiragov holds bachelor's and master's degrees in history from Baku State University. He also earned a master's degree in sociology from Columbia University in the United States through Azerbaijan’s State Programme for Youth Education Abroad.
Education advisors at Azerbaijani diplomatic missions are responsible for promoting educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and host countries, expanding academic opportunities, and supporting Azerbaijani citizens studying abroad.
Their duties also include assisting students in protecting their educational rights and coordinating education-related initiatives between institutions in Azerbaijan and foreign partners.
