Azerbaijan and Argentine hail importance of political consultations.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic Diana Elena Mondino had a phone talk on January 26, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

Bayramov congratulated Diana Mondino on her appointment to a high post and wished her success in her activity.

The prospects of bilateral relations were discussed, and the importance of political consultations between Azerbaijan and Argentina was emphasised during the phone talk.

The importance of strengthening the activity of the joint working group on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Argentina and preparing for the next meeting was noted. There is potential for expanding cooperation in various spheres, including economy, agriculture, alternative energy, education, and culture.

The great importance of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan this year was stressed. The confidence was expressed that the event will become an important platform for high-level contacts between the two countries.
