Azerbaijan, Asian Development Bank advance talks on strategic energy partnership

Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have discussed preparations for a feasibility study on a project aimed at developing and transmitting green energy between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The talks were held by Javid Abdullayev, Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, Joonho Hwang, Director at the Energy Sector Office responsible for the East, Central and West Asia regions of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Cindy Cisneros-Tiangco, Director for Emerging Areas at ADB’s Energy Sector Office, during the Asia Clean Energy Forum in Manila, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The sides also reviewed ongoing energy projects in Azerbaijan supported by the bank, explored further cooperation opportunities in the energy sector, and outlined the next stages of joint efforts.
