Azerbaijan becomes Czech Republic’s leading oil supplier in 2025
Azerbaijan was the main supplier of oil to the Czech Republic in 2025, with its share accounting for over 42% of the country’s total oil imports.
Last year, the Czech Republic imported 2.9 million tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan, a 10% increase compared to the year before, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The report noted that Azerbaijan has been steadily increasing its share in Czech oil imports in recent years.
The Czech Republic imported more than 6.85 million tonnes of oil in 2025, up 5.5% from 2024.
The share of Russian oil fell to 7.7% in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Czech Republic increased imports from Norway, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia.
The growth in supplies from these countries is attributed to expanded capacity on the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL) and disruptions on the Druzhba pipeline.
