Azerbaijan, Belgium discuss establishment of trade mission in Baku

Azerbaijani First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev has met Ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan Michel Peetermans.

The sides discussed the establishment of a Belgian trade mission in Azerbaijan in November 2022, mutual investments, etc., Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.

Aliyev noted that there are opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors of the economy, including those in the pharmaceutical sphere and agriculture, as well as opportunities for the participation of Belgian companies in "green" energy projects in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, as well as in the Alat Free Economic Zone, the "Araz Valley Economic Zone” and Aghdam Industrial Park.

In turn, the ambassador noted the importance of developing relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium, shared his vision of new spheres of cooperation and the potential for implementing joint initiatives.
