Azerbaijan boosts natural gas exports to Europe by 12.3% in first half of 2024
Azerbaijan exported 6.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe in January-June 2024.
This marks an increase of 0.7 billion cubic meters, or 12.3%, compared to the same period in 2023, Caliber.Az report via local media, referencing operational information from the Ministry of Energy for January- June 2024.
Overall, Azerbaijan exported 12.7 billion cubic meters of gas in the first half of this year, which is 6% more than in the corresponding period last year.
In January-June 2024, Azerbaijan sold 5 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey and 1.3 billion cubic meters to Georgia. The volume of gas exports to Turkey and Georgia remained unchanged compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) transported about 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey, matching last year's figure.
