Azerbaijan, Brazil joint working group to meet for first time this September
The inaugural session of the Azerbaijan-Brazil Joint Working Group on trade and investment cooperation is scheduled to take place in Brazil on September 1.
The announcement was made during a high-level meeting between Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan and co-chair of the joint working group, and Manuel Adalberto Carlos Montenegro Lopes da Cruz, Brazil’s Ambassador to Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.
The discussions underscored the pivotal role that mutual visits and formal agreements have played in advancing bilateral relations, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
“The importance of strengthening trade and investment relations with Brazil under the existing potential was emphasized. In addition, the key priorities of the partnership between the two countries were noted in the fields of agriculture, transport, education, technology, and tourism,” the official statement highlighted.
Deputy Minister Aliyev provided the ambassador with an in-depth overview of Azerbaijan’s favorable business climate and diverse investment opportunities. He also extended an open invitation to Brazilian investors to actively participate in expanding economic cooperation.
The sides further explored avenues for enhanced collaboration across various sectors, signaling a shared commitment to deepening their strategic partnership.
