Azerbaijan-Britain trade turnover soars in first half of 2024

The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom reached $290.82 million during the first half of 2024, representing a 1.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports, citing the data from the State Customs Committee.

The data reveals a significant surge in Azerbaijani exports to the UK, which soared 17.3 times to $164.31 million. This increase has elevated the share of Azerbaijani exports to 1.27%, compared to just 0.05% in January-June 2023.

Conversely, imports from the UK have declined by 12.8%, totalling $126.52 million. The proportion of imports from the UK now stands at 1.43%, down from 1.77% during the first half of 2023.
