The Toganaly-Kalbajar-Istisu highway stretching 82 kilometres is one of the important road infrastructure projects which is implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions.

The length of the Toganaly-Kalbajar section is 56 kilometres, Kalbajar-Istisu - 26 kilometres. The construction of the Murovdag tunnel is underway on the 16-kilometer section of the Toganaly-Kalbajar road, Report informs.

The two-lane tunnel will be 11,600 metres long and 12 metres wide. Three additional tunnels stretching 561.2 metres, 605.1 metres and 888 metres are also under construction.

The Toganaly-Kalbajar, Kalbajar-Istisu roads will have two and four lanes in accordance with the first and second technical categories upon the president’s instructions.
