Azerbaijan-Canada trade turnover reaches $100 million in early 2025
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Canada has surged significantly in the first two months of 2025, reaching a total of $93.6 million.
This represents a remarkable 43.7-fold increase compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports via the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
The sharp rise in trade activity is largely attributed to a significant increase in imports from Canada, which totaled $93.2 million, marking an astounding 48.2-fold growth. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s exports to Canada amounted to $0.4 million, a 1.9-fold increase from the previous year.
Despite the impressive growth in trade, Canada’s share in Azerbaijan’s total exports remains relatively small, at just 0.01%. However, the country’s share of Azerbaijan’s imports stands at a more notable 2.25%.
