Azerbaijan, China boost direct investment flows in 2025
Azerbaijan and China significantly expanded mutual direct investments in 2025, reflecting strengthening economic ties between the two countries, according to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, cited by local media.
Azerbaijan’s direct investment in China totaled $9.957 million last year, marking a 3.6-fold increase compared to 2024. As a result, Azerbaijan’s share in total investments directed to China rose from 0.2% to 0.4%.
In parallel, China increased its direct investment in Azerbaijan to $26.895 million in 2025, representing a 53% year-on-year rise. China’s share in total foreign investments in Azerbaijan also grew from 0.2% to 0.4% over the same period.
The figures point to a balanced upward trend in bilateral investment flows between the two economies.
