Azerbaijan, China discuss cooperation on smart customs solutions PHOTO
Azerbaijan and China have discussed ways to expand cooperation on implementing the Smart Customs concept, as part of a meeting between a delegation from Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee and Chinese authorities.
The talks focused on digital customs solutions, enhancing the capabilities of the Middle Corridor, Caliber.Az reports.
The two sides exchanged experience in digital customs administration, risk management, the integration of artificial intelligence into customs procedures, data exchange, operational process optimisation, and institutional development.
During meetings with representatives of Huawei, Percent and Maxvision, the Azerbaijani delegation reviewed smart customs technologies and digital solutions.
As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the Liantang and Shekou customs checkpoints on the Hong Kong–Shenzhen border, where members were introduced to advanced technological solutions, AI-powered risk assessment systems, smart inspection mechanisms, automated screening equipment, digital operating procedures, and best practices for customs warehouse management.
