Azerbaijan confirms 45 billion cubic metres of gas delivered to Europe via TAP Photo
Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has confirmed that more than 45 billion cubic metres of Azerbaijani gas have been delivered to Europe via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) to date.
The minister shared this update on his X page, Caliber.Az reports.

In his post, Shahbazov revealed that he had met with TAP’s Executive Director, Luca Schieppati, to discuss the strategic importance of the Southern Gas Corridor for ensuring a secure and sustainable energy supply.
The sides also addressed the planned expansion of the TAP and the critical issue of reducing methane emissions.
“As we work together to strengthen Europe's energy security, the extension of the TAP pipeline and our efforts to mitigate environmental impact are top priorities," Shahbazov said.
It is worth noting that following market tests conducted in 2021, TAP shareholders committed to increasing the pipeline's annual capacity by an additional 1.2 billion cubic metres, bringing the total capacity to 11.2 billion cubic metres by 1 January 2026.
