Azerbaijan detains two persons attempting to transgress from Iran

Employees of the Azerbaijani State Border Service and Interior Ministry have detained two persons upon illegal passage of the state border through the service area of the Horadiz border guard unit.

On June 21 at 01:30, the border guards jointly with police officers apprehended the 1986-born resident of the Lankaran district Elgun Namig oglu Eyvazov, who attempted to infiltrate from Iran to Azerbaijani territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Border Service.

On the same day at 07:00, a citizen of Afghanistan Amir Mejid (born 1995) was detained in the service area of the Goytapa border guard unit, who was also trying to transgress the state border from Iran to Azerbaijan.
