Azerbaijan diversifying EU’s energy supply with green energy
Azerbaijan has great prospects to diversify Europe's energy supply with the help of "green energy".
The country’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov made the remarks in his article devoted to October 20 - Power Engineer's Day, Report informs.
According to him, one of the promising and supported by the European Union projects in the direction of export to Europe is the project of laying a Georgia-Romania submarine electric cable with a length of 1,195 km and a capacity of 1,000 MW.
The creation of a quadripartite format of cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary is currently being discussed, th minister noted.
Shahbazov added the Green Corridor will allow diversifying the Azerbaijani electricity market, expanding the role of a supplier, and strengthening the integration of the Caspian Sea with the Black Sea and Europe.
