Azerbaijan, EBRD strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, green energy sectors
Azerbaijan’s economy and energy sectors are set to benefit from enhanced cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as senior officials from both sides held productive meetings to discuss key areas of collaboration.
Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov met with Harry Boyd-Carpenter, Managing Director of the EBRD's Sustainable Infrastructure Group, to discuss several crucial initiatives, Caliber.Az reports.
In a post on social media, Jabbarov highlighted the scope of their discussions, which centered on social infrastructure development, the ongoing green energy transition, and ways to further strengthen public-private partnerships.

“During our meeting with Harry Boyd-Carpenter, Managing Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), we discussed key areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EBRD. Our discussions covered projects supporting social infrastructure development, the #greenenergy transition, and initiatives to strengthen public-private partnerships,” Minister Jabbarov posted.
Simultaneously, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov also engaged with Boyd-Carpenter, emphasizing the importance of green energy as a strategic priority for Azerbaijan’s future.
Shahbazov shared insights on their meeting, which took place as part of Boyd-Carpenter’s participation in the Advisory Council. The discussions were centered around broadening the scope of collaboration in the green energy sector, identifying new opportunities for sustainable energy initiatives, and aligning with Azerbaijan’s energy agenda.
