Azerbaijan, Egypt discuss expansion of economic cooperation

Azerbaijani First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev has met Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt for European Affairs Ihab Talaat Nasr.

“The Azerbaijani deputy minister emphasised the importance of ties with Egypt and congratulated Ihab Nasr on the Revolution Day in Egypt,” Report informs citing the ministry.

While speaking about investment cooperation, along with other sectors of the economy, Aliyev invited Egyptian businessmen to take part in the implementation of projects in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from the Armenian occupation.

Nasr emphasised Egypt’s interest in expanding ties with Azerbaijan, shared his opinion on the spheres of partnership development.

The issues of expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
