Azerbaijan, EIB deepen partnership on innovation, investment, growth
Azerbaijan and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation, with a focus on entrepreneurship, infrastructure development, and the digital economy.
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli met with Maciej Czura, the outgoing Head of the EIB Regional Representation for the South Caucasus, to assess ongoing projects and explore avenues for future collaboration, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the talks, the sides underscored the strategic significance of the long-term partnership between Azerbaijan and the EIB. Bashirli noted that EIB financing and technical expertise have played an important role in supporting Azerbaijan’s key infrastructure initiatives, strengthening the private sector, and accelerating digital transformation.
Czura, in turn, expressed the EIB’s continued readiness to support Azerbaijan’s economic priorities, particularly in light of the country’s evolving development agenda and growing regional influence.
