Azerbaijan engaged in over hundred drills lately, whereas Armenia participated in none Armenian military expert says

31 January 2024 10:24

Vitali Mangasaryan, an Armenian military expert and head of Henaket think tank, has said that Azerbaijan has recently engaged in over a hundred military exercises, whereas Armenia has not.

"All countries in the world need weapons. Prices for weapons are very high now. But in any case, any weaponry brought in should be integrated into our existing system only through military exercises," Mangasaryan said in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.

"And we do not participate in military exercises. Exercises, in addition to improving the qualifications of the Armed Forces, also have a serious psychological impact on the personnel. Azerbaijan has participated in more than a hundred military exercises during this period, while Armenia has participated in none.

In addition, if we buy different weapons and do not take steps to ensure that these means serve their purpose as effectively as possible, we will have a problem. However, the question arises, how can we maximize the effectiveness of this? First of all, it has to do with different factories, because if the weapons break down, we will have to do maintenance, and if we don't have these factories, we will have serious problems. Because one day the weapons will be broken or damaged and that will cause various problems, especially during combat operations. So, the lofty words about the procurement of this or that weapon are just empty words," the expert said.
