Azerbaijan expanding air transportation with Israel
President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Asgarov and Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation and exchange of experience in civil aviation on July 7.
During the meeting, Asgarov noted the successful development of fruitful cooperation in air transportation between the countries, AZAL told Caliber.Az.
He noted that AZAL makes Baku-Tel-Aviv-Baku flights five times a week.
“Israir Airlines makes Baku-Tel Aviv and Tel Aviv-Baku three times a week,” AZAL president added.
"AZAL, together with its partners in Israel - travel companies, are actively working to create and develop a tourist flow from Israel to Azerbaijan," Asgarov said.
Deek stressed the importance of developing partnership as part of increasing the transport accessibility of countries.
He noted that this cooperation serves to increase passenger traffic and the comprehensive development of relations between the countries.
