The programme, according to her statement, aims to promote inclusive urban development and affordable housing for low-income families. She said that out of 160,000 housing units currently under construction, around 100,000 have already been completed, with families moving into new homes within less than a year.
“The Pakistan Pavilion will showcase a case study of Punjab’s people-centric model of inclusive urban development, affordable housing, and sustainable communities,” she said.
The Chief minister added that she will also hold meetings on the sidelines of the forum, including a planned meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Discussions are expected to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation in urban development, climate resilience, tourism, and investment.
The Pakistan Pavilion, featuring displays on the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” programme, is being prepared at the Baku Olympic Pavilion, where highlights of Punjab’s housing initiative will be showcased to international delegates attending the forum.
