Azerbaijan facilitates transit of 420 tonnes of Russian wheat to Armenia

A further shipment of Russian wheat has been sent to Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan, with 420 tonnes transported in six rail wagons.

The shipment was dispatched from the Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways towards the Boyuk-Kasik station, according to local media.

More than 40,000 tonnes of grain, around 9,000 tonnes of fertilisers, 1,136 tonnes of propane, 133 tonnes of aluminium, 1,114 tonnes of coal and 67,000 tonnes of timber have previously been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

In addition, Azerbaijan has exported around 15,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and around 5,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 petrol to Armenia.
