Azerbaijan’s exports rise nearly 30% in January-July
Azerbaijan’s exports increased by 27% year-on-year to $19.34 billion in January-July 2026, while imports fell 27.4% to $9.88 billion, according to data from the State Customs Committee.
The data showed the country’s foreign trade turnover rose 1.3% compared with the same period last year, reaching $29.22 billion, Caliber.Az reports.
As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a foreign trade surplus of $9.45 billion, up 5.9-fold from the corresponding period of 2025.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with 173 countries, compared with 169 a year earlier.
The number of individuals and legal entities engaged in foreign economic activity stood at 33,934, down from 48,732 in January-July 2025.
For comparison, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus totalled $663.1 million in 2025, while foreign trade turnover reached $49.42 billion, exports amounted to $25.04 billion, and imports stood at $24.38 billion.
