Azerbaijan’s exports to Armenia reach $17.4 million in seven months

Azerbaijan exported $17.372 million (29.5 million manats) worth of goods to Armenia in January-July this year, according to the State Customs Committee.

Over the seven-month period, Azerbaijan’s indirect imports from Armenia amounted to $960. No imports from Armenia were recorded last month, Caliber.Az reports.

In January-July, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries worth $29.216 billion, up 1.3% compared with the same period last year.

Of the total foreign trade turnover, $19.336 billion accounted for exports, while imports amounted to $9.881 billion. Over the past year, exports increased by 27%, while imports declined by 27.4%.

As a result, Azerbaijan recorded a foreign trade surplus of $9.455 billion, representing a 5.9-fold year-on-year increase.
