Imported wheat prices fall 7.1% in Azerbaijan in July

The average price of one tonne of imported wheat in Azerbaijan stood at 398.84 manats ($234.61) in July 2026, compared with 429.63 manats ($252.72) in June, according to the figures from the State Customs Committee.

The committee said prices rose to 424.58 manats ($249.75) in May from 410.56 manats ($241.51) in April, compared with 396.34 manats ($233.14) in March, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the data, Azerbaijan imported 631,685.91 tonnes of wheat in January–July 2026, down 2.3% from the same period last year.

In value terms, however, wheat imports increased by 2.4% to $143.45726 million.

Wheat imports accounted for 1.45% of Azerbaijan’s total import expenditure during the reporting period, compared with 1.03% in January–July 2025.
