Azerbaijan expands digital cooperation in logistics with China
Azerbaijan is in active negotiations with China on establishing a direct data exchange mechanism in freight transportation, Ehtiram Guliyev, head of the Digital Logistics Platform (DLP) project, has stated.
During the 2nd Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Forum in Baku, he said Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have jointly developed and submitted a relevant roadmap to the Chinese side, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to him, as part of the development of the International North-South Transport Corridor, cooperation with Russia has begun on the implementation of electronic consignment notes (e-CMR) based on an intergovernmental agreement.
“Similar mechanisms of cooperation have already been successfully established with Kazakhstan and Türkiye,” he added.
He further stressed that Georgia is currently the only major country along the Middle Corridor that has not yet joined the ongoing digital integration process, although its participation is expected in the near future.
In his view, Georgia’s integration into the system would enable the completion of a unified digital logistics framework and ensure seamless data exchange along the entire transport route.
