Azerbaijan explores cooperation with ExxonMobil on oil projects

Azerbaijan is deepening discussions with ExxonMobil on energy cooperation, including unconventional oil resources and low-carbon initiatives, the country’s economy minister said.

“During the meeting with Keith Simpson, Global Unconventional Explorations Manager of the US-based Exxon Mobil Corporation, we discussed cooperation priorities with SOCAR, as well as progress in assessing the potential of unconventional oil resources in Azerbaijan,” Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

He added that the talks also covered expanding low-carbon business opportunities and increasing the adoption of efficient technologies.
