Azerbaijan explores Israeli irrigation expertise to boost agriculture sector

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, met with Israeli Ambassador to Baku Ronen Krausz to discuss expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector, with a particular focus on leveraging Israel’s expertise in irrigation.

Krausz highlighted that collaboration between the two countries is developing dynamically across all areas, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture.

“The meeting addressed Azerbaijan-Israel cooperation in agriculture, increasing trade in the agro-industrial sector, expanding the working group’s activities, transferring advanced livestock and seed production technologies, enhancing agricultural research and experimental programs, and studying Israel’s expertise in irrigation,” the ministry said.

Both sides stressed the significant potential for further strengthening bilateral relations in agriculture and engaged in a broad exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
