Azerbaijan exports most of non-oil products to Türkiye, Russia

Azerbaijan exported most of the non-oil products to Türkiye ($167.2 million) in February 2023.

Türkiye is followed by the Russian Federation ($69.6 million) and Georgia ($40.3 million), Report informs citing the March issue of the "Export Review" journal of the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

The non-oil products worth $366.9 million were exported in February 2023.

This month, the export value of food products amounted to $53.4 million, and non-food products - $313.5 million.

The non-oil products worth $273.9 million were exported to Türkiye, non-oil products worth $137.7 million - to Russia, non-oil products worth $64.7 million - to Georgia, non-oil products worth $19.4 million - to Kazakhstan and non-oil products worth $19 million - to Switzerland in January-February 2023.

The statistical value of joint exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products amounted to $124.8 million. During the reporting period, the export of fruits and vegetables amounted to 92.2 per cent of the group of agricultural products.

The cost of agricultural products, which holds a significant place in the structure of non-oil and gas exports, increased by 90.8 per cent compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Electricity ($227.2 million) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil goods followed by virgin polypropylene ($23.6 million) and hazelnuts ($23.3 million) in January-February 2023.

During the reporting period, the export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 6.6 times, sugar - by 78.5 per cent, and tea by 22.7 per cent.

Azerbaijan’s total export volume reached $4.5 billion while the export of non-oil products was $651.4 million for the first two months.
