Azerbaijan exports over 9 bcm of gas to Europe
Azerbaijan exported 9.4 billion cubic metres of gas to Europe from January to September this year, according to Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.
“Azerbaijan exported 9.4 billion cubic metres of gas to Europe in January-September this year. “In January-September, 9.4 bcm of gas was exported to Europe, 7.3 bcm to Türkiye, and 1.7 bcm to Georgia. During this period, TANAP supplied Türkiye with 4.2 bcm of gas. During 9 months of this year, gas sales abroad increased by approximately 4.2 percent compared to the corresponding period last year,” Caliber.Az quotes the minister as saying in a post on his X page.
Shahbazov also wrote that the operational data for nine months of this year states that oil-condensate production was 21.6 million tons, and export was 17.9 million tons.
"During this period, 18.4 bcm out of the 37.1 bcm of gas produced with an increase of 1.1 million cubic meter, in comparison with the same period last year, was exported," he said.

The Southern Gas Corridor is a strategic initiative to bring gas from the Caspian Sea to the European markets and is a key tool for enhancing the security of energy supplies in Europe.
